Before the Morning
by Josh Wilson
This song describes so perfectly the moments right before the healing of the soul. This song rejoices in the epiphany that casting burdens upon the Lord is very real and very possible. It rejoices in the fact that the greater the pain you experience, the even greater the joy you'll feel in comparison upon healing.
I've lived the lyrics of this song and can testify that the morning really does dawn after the darkest of nights.
Some of my favorite lines:
Life is not a snapshot, it might take a little time,
But you'll see the bigger picture
Would dare you, would you dare, to believe,
That you still have a reason to sing,
'cause the pain you've been feeling,
Can't compare to the joy that's coming
So hold on, you got to wait for the light
Press on, just fight the good fight
Because the pain you've been feeling,
It's just the dark before the morning.
